VISA FAQ
Is VISA Safe?
VISA is very safe. It is one of the safest methods in the world, in fact. And if you want an added element of security make sure that you use a credit card as opposed to a debit card, as that will guard you against scams and frauds.
Is VISA Fast?
It is very fast. Your deposits will be processed instantly and your withdrawals should be processed just as quickly, with the only delay being on the part of the casino.
How Will an Online Casino Payment Look on my Statement?
It depends on the casino, but it’s very rare that it will show up as the name of the casino or gambling site. This is especially true for withdrawals. For instance, withdrawals to VISA credit cards often simply show up as “Credit”—the same words that show when you yourself credit money to your card from another bank account or card.
Gambling sites use holding companies and it is often the name of these holding companies that will show when you make deposits, there are exceptions though and in some cases it’s clear that payments came from gambling sites. Here are a few examples of deposits:
- 888 = CASSAVA ENTERPRISES
- Unibet = FIRSTCLEAR LONDON
- Bet365 = B365 INTERNET GBR
- Bet Victor = BV LTD GIBRALTAR GIB
- PaddyPower = PP ONLINE
- LeoVegas = SLIEMA MLT
Is VISA the Best Credit Card for Online Gambling?
It certainly seems to be the best and if you ask many gamblers which method they prefer then the majority will probably point to VISA. However, there isn’t a great deal of difference between VISA credit and debit and other credit and debit card providers, so it’s not a fair comparison. It’s also down to preference. You may prefer VISA, you may prefer MasterCard or PayPal—that doesn’t mean that anything is better or worse.
Can I Use VISA to Gamble in the US?
No. Online gambling is restricted in the United States and the financial institutions have put a block on this, making sure that you can’t gamble even when dealing with casinos based outside of the country. You can, however, use your card to gamble when you are in hotspots like Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
Why Can’t I Withdraw Using VISA Credit?
You can on some sites, but not on others. It’s entirely down to the sites, with some refusing to let you withdraw to credit cards. For instance, you can withdraw to a credit card using Bet Victor, BetWay and Bet365, but not on 888 Casino. This is something that can be tricky to find out in advance, but it’s worth trying to because it could make life difficult for you if you end up winning big after depositing with a credit card.
Who is Responsible for my VISA Money?
You are. But if you use a VISA credit card and you are the victim of fraud or theft, then your bank or credit card supplier will assume responsibility, giving you back the money that you lost and then contacting the police to try and resolve the fraud case.
