Basics

Joker Pro uses a basic setup. There are 5 reels and 10 paylines and the symbols include a host of retro slot machine graphics, including bells, 7s and bars. It’s something that you will be familiar with if you’re from the old-school slot generation, but not exactly something you would expect to find on NetEnt casinos.

There is a good betting range here, ranging from 0.01 to 100, and this does help to make it a little more interesting, but it is hard to get over these bland and basic graphics when you’re used to the super stylish stuff that Net Entertainment often put out.

Bonus Rounds

There is a bonus round on Joker Pro, which takes the form of a single free bet. That may not sound very interesting, but this round is quite common and it comes with two wild reels, so it does pay out. You also get a good chance to unlock another free spin if the joker hat (which triggers the round in the first place) lands on one of the three middle reels. This is quite a common occurrence, so usually that 1 free spin turns into at least 3 and usually returns a win of at least 7x your stake.

There is also a “hot spot” space and if you get all three joker hats on this then you will trigger a bonus of 1,000x your stake. This means that if you’re playing £0.20 a line for a total of £2 a spin, then this bonus will trigger a windfall of £2,000.

This is the biggest jackpot on Joker Pro and the main draw. But as you can imagine for a game that doesn’t look great, doesn’t have multiple free spins and is seriously lacking an additional bonus round, it isn’t enough.

Our Rating: 5/10

This is a generous slot and if we find it on some of our favorite real money casinos, including LeoVegas, then we’ll probably play it again. But we won’t be seeking it out. Winning is important, but so is having fun and there just isn’t enough going on with Joker Pro to make us focus on this slot above all others.

It needs something else. At the very least it needs a “choose me” bonus round, a free spins round that has more going on and provides you with more free spins, and a progressive jackpot or two. If all of this were to be included then we would be happy to forgive the lack of grand 3D graphics. But there’s nothing there to make up for those basic graphics and that’s why Joker Pro gets a mediocre rating from us.
