We were excited to review Black Knight because the name conjured up images of the famous scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. We know that the boys from Python already licensed their name to be used on the Spamalot slot, which had some of their humour and their aesthetic, and we were eager for another such creation here.

Imagine our disappointment then when we found out that Black Knight from WMS had nothing to do with the famous British comedians. If you were expecting the same thing then we are sorry to disappoint, and disappoint we will.
Features
The aesthetic of Black Knight is very poor and dated. It looks like it was created about the same time that the aforementioned Black Knight scene was first being conceived by the Python gang.
Okay, so maybe that is an exaggeration, but what we’re trying to say is that it looks old and far from the style and the quality that we have come to expect from WMS. This company is owned by SG Interactive after all, a company that currently holds titles like Rainbow Riches and Ruby Slippers on its roster. Black Knight has nothing on those classics.
There are five reels but only three symbols per reel, which means there are just 30 paylines in total. If you can get past the poor graphics and the distinct lack of Monty Python then you will get a kick out of the RTP, which is 96.07% and the betting range, which goes from 0.01 to 150 per line, but besides that it’s pretty basic and pretty disappointing.
Rating: 3/10
We went into this expecting a lot and we left very disappointed. We can’t blame them for our expectations, but we can blame them for putting together a rushed, shoddy title that does not reflect on their brand and is very poor by comparison.
