Inject some island sunshine into your day with Tahiti Feeling, a real money online casino slot from Merkur, a relatively unknown developer who are currently up against it as they try to compete in a very tough industry. The question is, can Tahiti Feeling stand out against countless other slots currently found on the best Microgaming and NetEnt casinos or is this a flop that will get lost amongst the masses of other failed and mediocre slots?

Basics
To start with, Tahiti Feeling doesn’t do much different and doesn't really offer anything impressive. There are a standard 5 reels of 20 paylines and the game screen is a little bland. It is set back against a bland, grey backdrop, with an overlay of a golden beach and symbols that include the basic letters and some basic island illustrations.
You have to create something special to be seen in the current slot marketplace and on the face of it, Merkur have not done that with Tahiti Feeling. The betting range is quite small, ranging from 0.01 to 40 and the wins are not exactly plentiful. If anything, the game seems very tight and doesn’t have many big wins waiting to be paid out.
Bonus Rounds
Tahiti Feeling clearly hasn’t done the basics right, so can it step up to the plate when it comes to bonus rounds and other features? There is one feature and this comes in the form of a free spins round, which is unlocked via the bikini woman symbol. During this free spins round all of your wins will be doubled and you will get a total of 15 free spins. This is great, but in truth it sounds better than it is.
The round is very hard to get and it took us over 70 spins before we got our first, prior to which we didn’t even get close. What’s more, because the reels are not very loose and don’t pay out very much, those 15 free spins and that 2x multiplier can result in a big disappointment. The average win seems to be a little more than 10x your stake, which is okay, but after spending so long to get to this round and after potentially losing so much in the base game, anything below 30x will be a big letdown.
There is also a gamble feature, but this seems a little redundant in modern slot machines and it’s not something that we get excited about anymore. In fact, if you go to casinos like Leo Vegas you’ll find that the majority of new highly rated rated casinos don’t even have this feature.
Our Rating: 3/10
We like to see new developers come through and we make an effort to review them in order to give them a little exposure. We’ve done it with countless developers who have gone on to do big things, including Yggdrasil. However, Merkur have a report card that reads “Must do better”. In this case, they have failed to produce a worthwhile title, but the basics are there for them to turn it into something better. Maybe they will do better with their next release.
