The Spartacus base game is split between two reels, one of them a standard 5 reel, 4 symbol set-up, the other an elongated 5 reel set-up that has 12 symbols per reel. This sort of extended reel means that it’s very common to get losing spins, but when the wins come they are usually big and can result in dozens of winning lines.

There are 100 paylines in total on Spartacus, with some very powerful wilds and with equally strong symbols that represent the main characters and spread across entire reels. There is also a free spins bonus on Spartacus and this lands if you get the bonus symbol on the first, third and fifth reels.

This feature is actually quite rare and we played through hundreds of spins before we triggered it for the first time, but it’s generous when it does come and results in some huge wins if your luck is in. You can also win as many as 20 free spins by securing more of the bonus symbols (on the two different reels) although we never saw more than 3 at any given time.

If you have not played games with this unique setup then we would definitely recommend giving it a go. Fans of big symbols and wild reels will get a kick out of it, but fans of basic arcade slots and fruit machines probably won’t be entertained by the idea.

Either way, it’s a game that you just have to try at least once and one that cold reward you very kindly for your curiosity.
