Book of Ra

Firstly, many modern slot players like big reels and big paylines. But while Book of Ra does have 5 reels, which are standard, it only has 9 paylines. That’s very small when you consider that even 20 paylines are considered to be a little on the short side in this day and age. Book of Ra does have a large highest win, which is locked at 25,000 coins, and the RTP is also good at 96%, but these are not the best figures, and they really needed to be in order to makeup for everything else.

The aesthetic doesn’t really work on Book of Ra. The graphics are not great and while there is a clear theme and a suggestion of a storyline, it isn’t used well enough and doesn’t really go anywhere. That is usually the case with small slots, of course, but we think that if you’re not going to do anything with a theme then don’t try to create such a big one.

On the whole, Book of Ra falls very flat and lacks what it needs to compete with the better slots out there.
