Features
The graphics on Hall of Gods are fairly basic. There seem to be three levels of NetEnt slots when it comes to graphics. You have the very basic stuff that utilizes an old-school aesthetic and is as basic as they come, like a fruit machine. At the other end of the spectrum you have the full 3D, high-quality, visually enhanced games like South Park.
Hall of Gods is somewhere in the middle, with a visual styling that is on par with their popular Blood Suckers title, albeit without the popularity that has followed that Dracula-inspired game around. In fact, we haven’t seen much of Hall of Gods on real money online casinos.
There could be a few reasons for that. Not only are the graphics basic, but the betting range is much smaller than some of their other titles. You can bid at a minimum of $0.50, but while some NetEnt titles allow you to bet a max as much as €100 and even €200, Hall of Gods is limited to just €50. The game is not very generous either and without any exciting wilds or multipliers (although there is a basic wild) there is nothing to truly bring it to life.
There are some positives here though and it’s not all bad news because Hall of Gods has a couple of solid bonus rounds.
Bonus Round
The main bonus round on Hall of Gods is triggered by three of the bonus symbols (Thor’s hammer) and they take you on a journey that can end with one of three jackpot wins, ranging from a mini jackpot of €100 and going all of the way up to a mega jackpot that offers over €2 million. That’s the sort of money you rarely see on NetEnt slots, so it makes for a refreshing change on any online casino.
There is also a free spins feature on Hall of Gods that rewards you with between 10 and 20 free spins depending on how many scatter symbols you get when you unlock the round.
Ratings 7/10
We are a little torn on Hall of Gods. It doesn’t have the best aesthetic, it doesn't have a wide betting range and the base game is pretty boring. In fact, we felt like giving up several times and only pushed on because we wanted to see what the bonus features were like.
But when they finally did come those bonus features brought the game to life. The features are what makes it and when you add the jackpots to the mix then you have a solid game overall, albeit not one of the best ones we have played by any stretch.
